amputation i think is like, pretty much a bondage+ fetish, at least how it functions to me, as well as like a general helplessness/body integrity horror thing. Cut off/injured [ie cut tendons or broken] limbs obviously cant be used to get around or fight back or even do basic self-upkeep which is really appealing from a control sense
