I would like to see some of your 3D CGI. Old or new... works in progress... I wish to connect with more modellers and renderers

These are gorgeous. Are all the textures in this picture created/sourced yourself?

yes. ive had a habit for a while to always make textures. i dont rly do 3d anymore tbh but still make textures sometimes lol. Usually from my own photos - but sometimes by processing things from the net - like this felt im rly obsessed with lol... i looped it and ran thru texconv

>>3mqqrekzdqk2v
lovely noisy felt... the most i've done with texture creation is hand-painting a few models. otherwise most of my stuff, even shoddily manipulated photos, are nabbed from online...

I have been very addicted to Strideh's Urban Decay textures https://strideh.itch.io/stridehs-urban-decay-textures. i've found that architectural modelling is easier when you have a palette of surfaces to draw from and limit what you actually depict

>>3mqqschzyys2v
makes sense. i would sometimes after creating a new texture batch would put all of them on cubes on a surface to form a relationship to them - as prims ig - and feel out their vibe - and yea its interesting to block out with those textures upfront rather than just plain blank materials.

i find, its easier to work with lower resolution textures since there's less information.

this room gives me vibes tho - the center bit is speaking to me...

i used to enjoy playing with old versions of 3D Studio Max (R3.1 specifically), but they crash far too often. I don't really do much artwork

>>3mqso5wlf4l2r
nice have u tried art of illusion?

File: 2026-07-18_14-36-47_blender.png (425 kB, 829x1027)

i need to actually sit down and do some studies because i always launch into just making like, a full model and then i get really caught up trying to depict anatomical features

>>3mqvgz2kv7k2x
a lifetime study and practice no doubt (anatomy/gesture) -

i made this environment for an animation project, but i mismanaged it and ended up scrapping it. the renders i did make for it tho are some of my favorites with this one being my wallpaper ( ̄ー ̄)
