my recent darling has been the lumix dmc-lx3. very pocketable, great battery life, leica lens from 2008. it kind of just works as promised. ive been pushed more and more into the late 2000s as my ideal age for cameras. the all-digital workflow - which was novel at the time - kind of just works here. anything earlier than this tends to have significant drawbacks, their primary selling point being "its not analog." a step into the future

i just use my phone, do what i can. id luv to find something worthwhile wit focus+aperture fiddling and such. if only such a thing was cheap to find v-v

anothr tea one, in a more rural farm - these are cooking ovens they stir raw leafs in as part of pu'er prep. There's a small fire beneath the bowls. When they cook the leaves, they have to constantly stir the batch so it never sits still for too long - done manually. same camera.
last 1 for now. from a protected region in china, technically i wasn't allowed to be there as a foreigner. A small village where they make lapsang. This is just one of the buildings facing the main (and only) road. i forget the name atm.

whenever i take photos i usually like to take them close to a flat surface or blurry..
heres a "photograph" from my Sony CCD TR500, when i got my first capture card i went around recording short clips of things to take "photos" of by digitizing the tape then taking screenshots of the footage
took advantage of a deal from best buy that a friend of mine working there got me and got this Canon EOS R100. never really dipped my toes into photography before, so i played around with it last week touring new england with no plans or instructions on anything
this is downtown Brattleboro, Vermont. sorry if it's too obvious that i don't know what "F-stop" means, or how to manually change focus aside from moving the autofocus around, im still very new to this
i recently got a fujifilm x-t30 iii which i love very very much. i have not gone out with it much yet but it has been extremely fun to use

most cameras have a mode for manual/auto focus. if the lens is detachable, it usually has a ring you can rotate to change the focus point. kit lenses usually drive their own focus through software. i would recommend playing around with manual focus so you learn how to use it. i shoot on auto settings most of the time, so don't worry about not doing it right! you can still take great photos d(-＿-)

i've been shooting a ricoh gr3 since spring and it's really changed things for me. it's just so easy to keep around and the lens/sensor combo is wicked good
been experimenting with something called spektrafilm lately... beautiful film emulation program ive really come to love. ive been processing some photos i didnt like as much with it to nice results
I just got home from japan and I took my new Lumix L10 and it was literally perfect I'm gonna sell all my other cameras when I move to Japan lmao

i love mine too its scary good. i never bring anything else around (unless i specifically want to take something old and compression-y with my digicam)

can you tell a little more about your process with it? do you have to develop individual photos or do you just setup like a profile/process that you like and then batch process?

i think you can make looks and apply them to all photos, but i usually do it on a per photo basis, i get better results that way
the base spektrafilm implementation is kind of slow though, if you want something faster i use this: https://github.com/natcelian/spektrafilm.exe
