i've never seen anyone block the door on one of the trains here but tbh the cars are just better designed to allow ppl to stash their bikes/strollers/whatever
they're fine mostly but sometimes people ride in the sidewalk which is annoying especially when theres a bike lane right there, almost had someone crash into me a couple times
was there room in the car otherwise? bikes are big and bulky and can be hard to put somewhere out of the way. blame the game not tha playa

i like bikes and i wish i had one ive never been annoyed by them. the trains/buses where i live have designated racks that are basically never full so i have never had an issue such as you describe. and theres lots of bike lanes
bikes r good for teh earth whereas humans r bad for it so i think it's worth it 2 inconvenience a human 4 teh sake of a bike

around here ur supposed 2 ride on teh sidewalks n they often have a marked bike lane but nobody (pedostrians or bikers) actually observes teh bike lane markings so it's p annoying

around here its either lycra freaks peddling in the shoulder or dudes on chinese ebikes dipping between cars. it sucks cuz they go on the sidewalks a lot but theres rly no other option since going on the road is a freakin death sentence. ironically it feels safer on my motorcycle a lot of times than on my bike.

I think describing it this way is meant to reframe the notion of "streets" from "places for cars to travel through" to just "places". You can walk through a place, you can bike through a place - if there's enough room you don't need special structures to try and separate different modes (for the most part). The mode-separation infrastructure in my city is really shit; dense urban areas will have footpaths barely wide enough for one person, let alone the dozens who pass through, bicycle infrastructure is often just share-arrows or painted gutters that get cut off for on-street parking, so either risk your life on the road or twist between pedestrians
Basically yeah, sticking your bike somewhere that's creating an obstruction is shitty, but you gotta blame the game not tha playa
i think trains and/or train stations should be accommodating for bikes since people are riding their bikes to them, but i don't have enough context to know whether or not there was a bike space they were ignoring. i live in a small town where there's not many cyclists and i'll see people on bikes from time to time, sometimes their only option is sharing the road legally with a bunch of raised pick ups, SUVs, and semi trucks or taking the sidewalk illegally, so i don't really blame them for the rare occasions i do see them on the sidewalk, i used to do that when i lived in southern california, that town was surrounded by miles of farmland and had barely any bike lanes.
